Accepted Abstracts: ePoster Preparation Guidelines

For vPPTR 2020, delegates will be utilizing the “Learning Toolbox (LTB)” created by Kubify for ePosters.  The LTB allows for versatile and dynamic posters that enable an interactive. multi-media virtual experience for vPPTR 2020 delegates. Outlined below are guidelines and tips to help you create your ePoster.

ePosters will be made public on October 19th, 2020 at 6 AM PDT, 1 week prior to the start of vPPTR 2020. The authors are advised to ensure their ePoster is ready for viewing by this date and time!

Getting Started

vPPTR 2020 Local Organizing Committee will send the presenting author an email from the Kubify system with a unique link or URL to get you started.

If you do not receive this email by September 1, 2020, kindly contact info@pptr2020.com with a Cc to cetter@sfu.ca.

You will need to click on the link in the email you will receive from Kubify to begin. The link will ‘activate’ your ePoster. You will also be prompted to create an account so that you can edit and access your ePoster at your convenience.  It is important that you use the same account information you used to register for vPPTR 2020.  vPPTR 2020 presenting authors will have single login account for LTB created by Kubify.

More specific instructions will be in the email you receive from LTB created by Kubify with your link.

Guides and Support for LTB ePoster Presenting Authors

As a presenting author you have access to help guide including videos, demos and answers to frequently asked questions. You may access this by clicking on the Support menu when logged into Learning Toolbox or going direct to their support page.

Building Your ePoster

To build your ePoster in LTB, you will start by creating a stack, which is an orderly collection of multimedia and interactive resources, especially one arranged in layers and responsive to mobile devices.

Visit Kubify’s LTB and view ‘Stacks’ to see other ePoster examples. Please note these stacks are not under the direction of vPPTR 2020 and may not represent the evaluation criteria nor expectations set forth by our Scientific and/or Awards Committees.

Kubify has a Learning Toolbox App available on mobile devices and has many benefits including described in detail here

Minimum ePoster Requirements

The “Learning Toolbox” provides three main areas for building an ePoster, including the tile library, the ePoster, and the settings option. We recommend taking some time to review the ePoster support page, which provides useful and understandable explanations of many of the ePoster features.

At a minimum, ePoster presenters need to provide a copy of their poster as a PDF document, similar to a poster created for an in-person PPTR meeting.

When developing your ePoster content, we recommend to use the same sections as in your accepted abstract including:

  • Title
  • Authors and affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Abstract ID
  • Introduction and Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • Statement of Ethics, where applicable
  • References, where applicable
  • Sponsors

Tips and Recommendations

Tiles: Tiles are different types of content that can be added to your ePoster:

Images: It is recommended to upload images as either a PNG or JPG file with a 2,000 pixel width to give good image quality onscreen. The vPPTR 2020 delegates will be able to zoom in and out at images to look at fine details.

PDF: It is recommended to save a PDF with 200 dpi. It is also recommended to open PDF files in full screen view to best see the fine details on an e-poster.
